Over 100 designers gathered at the Kohler Experience Center last night in NYC for an evening of cocktails and conversation about kitchen and bath trends. Hosted by Interior Design and the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), the event featured a presentation by designer Elle H-Millard, industry relations manager for the NKBA. She wowed crowds with the statistic that kitchen and bath design is a $134 billion industry, more than film and TV combined. Millard, who recently returned from the London Design Festival, also shared key kitchen & bath trends spotted at the show (think: color and pattern galore). Lastly, she gave a preview of January’s KBIS show, which will feature a keynote by Interior Design editor in chief Cindy Allen. Attendees enjoyed light bites provided by Sagaponack Grill and had the chance to tour Kohler’s expansive showroom, which opened in May.
